About Our Language

Mandarin and Cantonese are 2 typical languages which have been widely used in domestic China and abroad.

“Standard Mandarin, or Standard Chinese, is the official modern Chinese spoken language used in mainland China, Taiwan, also been spoken by many immigrants in Canada, the United States, Australia, and Europe. Moreover, it is one of the four official languages of Singaporeand is one of the four official languages of Singapore;

Cantonese, also known as Canton dialect or Guangzhou dialect, is the prestige dialect of Yue Chinese (Cantonese), especially when pronounced with a Canton City accent. It is used in Hong Kong and Macau as the spoken language of government and instruction in the schools. It is spoken natively in and around the city of Canton (Guangzhou) in Southern China, by the majority population of Hong Kong and Macau, and as a lingua franca of Guangdong province and some neighbouring areas. It is also spoken by many immigrants from Guangdong in Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh, Malaysia, though Taishanese is the most common dialect of Cantonese spoken by overseas Chinese communities in Canada, the United States, Australia, and Europe.“
